Recently, GOG.com added many LucasArts games to their catalogue, including the classics X-Wing and Tie-Fighter. While these were welcomed additions to the classic games vendor, there was an obvious absence in the LucasArts games joining the site, especially in regards to fan favourites X-Wing: Alliance and X-Wing vs Tie-Fighter.

Today, for the first time in digital distribution history, both titles have been added to the GOG.com site. For the first time ever, fans of the series can have the full collection in a digital platform.

These aren’t the only Star Wars titles to be added today, however. Also added is the real-time strategy game “Galactic Battlegrounds”, one of my personal favourites, also for it’s digital distribution debut.

Three more games from the francise are also added today, but are available in other places too:

  • Knights Of The Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords
  • Dark Forces
  • Battlefront 2

Not the largest story, but for fans of old-school Star Wars games, definitely one worth noting.

Six more games are lined up to be added from the Star Wars francise later this month.
